Heather was born and raised in Norfolk, NE. She graduated in 2010 from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD, with a bachelors degree in Athletic Training and Biology. After she completed her bachelors degree, Heather moved to St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband, John, where she worked as an athletic trainer for a local high school. She enjoyed working with the athletes but wanted to be more involved so decided to apply to Physician Assistant school at Saint Louis University. She graduated with her Master of Medical Science degree from Saint Louis University and became a PA-C in December 2013. She is certified in ACLS, BLSO, PALS, and CIC (concussion ImPACT). Heather has a special interest in sports medicine and orthopedics. She and John moved to Mobridge for their careers and are excited to be an active part of the community. Her husband, John, is an Optometrist with Vision Care Associates. They have a son, Carter, and a Japanese chin dog named Gizmo.
