Community Support

Care shouldn't stop when you exit our building.

When it comes to some of the toughest topics, a one-hour preventive care exam isn't enough support for our patients. That's why we've partnered with the SD Department of Health to create Community Health Worker-led peer support programs here at Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics. If you or someone you know is coping with grief, putting in long hours as a caregiver for dependants, or facing the myriad of issues left to address after surviving a life-threatening illness, you've come to the right place.

We've created the following hubs for patients. Each one includes online videos, local resources, and community forums that connect patients, their families, and our wider community together in support on these topics. Our Community Health Workers are also available to help support patients through the tough times in person. If you could use some extra support or guidance outside of your appointment, please talk to your provider or nurse about whether our Community Health Worker program is the right fit for you.
