MRHC Foundation Golf Tournament Success

A Thank You from the MRHC Foundation

On behalf of the MRHC Foundation, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our 2026 Foundation Golf Tournament held August 22 at Oahe Hills Golf Course. We were fortunate to welcome 36 teams and 132 golfers, and once again I was reminded just how generous our communities are when it comes to supporting local healthcare.

An event like this simply isn't possible without a lot of people working together. I would especially like to thank our Event Sponsor, JDH Construction; Meal Sponsor, First Interstate Bank; Cooling Station Sponsor, Mutual of America; and Ball Drop and Golf Driver Raffle Sponsor, Marco Technologies, LLC, as well as all of our hole, prize and team sponsors. I am also incredibly grateful to Oahe Hills Golf Course and the MRH&C Dietary Department for their help, along with Foundation Board members Jan Brockel, Jill Keller, Mark Dady, Travis Vetch and Pam Rabenberg, who volunteered their time during the tournament. I would also like to thank Haden Merkel, MRH&C Philanthropy Engagement Coordinator, for her help before and throughout the event.

While the golf tournament gives us an opportunity to come together and have some fun, the purpose behind our fundraising is much greater. The MRHC Foundation exists to encourage long-term charitable support for programs, education, facilities and other initiatives that help MRH&C care for the people and communities we serve. Ultimately, our goal is to help ensure quality healthcare remains available close to home.

Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of seeing firsthand what can happen when our communities rally around that mission. Most recently, we successfully completed a three-year capital campaign that raised $1.755 million to support MRH&C. That accomplishment belongs to every individual, family, business and organization that chose to invest in our hospital and its future.

So, while I am thanking everyone who made this year's golf tournament a success, I also want to extend that thank you much further. To everyone who has attended a Foundation event, sponsored a fundraiser, made a donation, contributed to our capital campaign or supported our efforts over the years—thank you. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference.

Completing the capital campaign is not the end of the Foundation’s work, but an opportunity to look toward our next chapter. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and grateful for the continued support of our communities as we explore new projects and opportunities to support MRH&C, our patients and the future of quality local healthcare.
