Housekeeper / Environmental Services

Shift: Day Shift (Rotating Saturdays and Holidays)
Pay Range: $16.10 – $21.47 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team at our Critical Access Hospital. This position is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff while supporting infection prevention and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, emergency department, clinics, offices, and public areas
- Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms following discharge or transfer
- Follow infection prevention, isolation, and safety protocols
- Properly handle and dispose of waste and biohazard materials
- Replenish paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other supplies
- Operate housekeeping equipment and maintain cleaning carts
- Report safety hazards or maintenance concerns promptly
- Interact professionally and respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff
Schedule
- Full-time, day shift
- Rotating Saturdays and Holidays required
Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
- Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience, especially in healthcare (not required)
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly wage: $16.10 – $21.47, based on experience
- Full benefit package available for full-time and part-time employees regularly scheduled 24 hours per week or more, including medical, dental, vision, retirement options, paid time off, and more
