Chamber Tourism Committee Pledges $10,000 Matching Gift

This Monday, the Mobridge Chamber Tourism Committee stopped by Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics with a generous offer for the MRHC Foundation’s Healthy Futures Capital Campaign: a promise to match up to $10,000 to support ongoing construction.

The Committee was able to view the new in-patient and obstetrics wing and the new infusion center in person. “We are completing this construction project to better serve the changing needs of our patients,” explained John J. Ayoub, CEO of Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics. Ayoub and MRHC Foundation staff joined the tour to share where the renovated emergency department, ambulance bay, surgical department, expanded clinic and specialty clinic areas will fit in the hospital’s layout once the project is complete.

“We want to support this project and are hoping the community will help us light it up this 4th of July,” shared Jesse Konold, Co-chair of Mobridge Chamber Tourism Committee. Now through the end of July, donations from community members will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000 thanks to their thoughtful gift.

Mobridge Chamber Tourism Committee’s events bring countless visitors to town throughout the year. Public amenities, like fast access to high-quality local health care, can help encourage visitors to eventually become residents. “Strong healthcare infrastructure supports both economic vitality and quality of life,” said Konold. “By offering this match, we hope to inspire others to give and help build a healthier future for everyone who lives and visits the Mobridge area.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Mobridge Chamber Tourism Committee for their leadership and largesse,” shared John J. Ayoub, CEO of Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics.
